This Blogging is a hard thing!

Well I thought I would be able to keep up with this blogging. Having access to computers every day, I really did think that it wouldn't be too much of a problem.

Ha! I should have known. The last post....13th August.....seems like months ago! And has a lot happened since then. Gee whiz... where do you start.

Lets see...mmm! O.k. Well Amy-Jane has now had two lessons at Cheerleading Classes. And much to my surprise she really isn't to bad at it. It really is a good laugh to watch. Especially when these little girls are warming up and then practising their routine. They are so cute!

Troy was the Auctionnaire (not to sure on the spelling!) at the Slave Auction the church was holding. He managed to raise $2,500 for the churches Uganda trip. Yes about $450.00 was our own money that I had bidded on. Atleast I get my car washed and a family portrait.

Have had a few quick trips away during the weekend. My brother was having seizures and was helicopted from Bathurst Base Hospital to Nepean Hospital at Penrith. This was very scary for all of us but we got news today of the apparent cause of these seizures. So atleast we have an answer and they can start dealing with this. God was probably sick of hearing my pray requests! I can't remember how many times I have prayed for my brother. But like always he came through.

Well how about that for a quick update of the goings on! Might see if I can get to update the blog again before the weekend is out. Yes I can keep dreaming!

Puppies Settling in Well

We have been fortunate enough to offer a family, care of their loved 8 year old Siberian Husky whilst they go over to South Africa for voluntary work for about 4-6 months. Gypsy came to stay for holidays towards the end of July. She is absoulately gorgeous! Red coat with gorgeous blue eyes! What more can I ask for. Perhaps that these colours come in either a handbag or a pair of shoes! LOL! Really!

Apparently friends of Gypsy's owner have established a non profit organisation "Food, Water, Shelther" a worthwhile organise which provide the basic essentials that we take for grated to third world countries such as South Africa. Anyway Gypsy gets to have a holiday with us whilst her owner "Darren" getts to do something world changing for himself and 1,000 0f other people.

Gypsy is a real sweety. When she first came she was quite cranky with Cash and kept on growling at him as well as bossed him around. It was really funny! I suppose she was just getting used to not being the boss of the yard.

But now as time has gone by Cash and Gypsy are getting along realy well. I just love watching them play. They are like kids. Cash sort of nudges her to say "come on, your it". Then the game begins. It is also nice to see that both Gypsy and Cash just love standing up on the chairs (which are placed near the kitchen window) and looking in through the kitchen window to see what I am doing. I think they both think perhaps she is getting us some tea! I suppose dogs can also live in hope! lol

Amy-Jane and I also love taking them both for a walk. But I must say Gypsy is like a dream, she walks really well. There is no pull on the lead what so ever compared to Cash. With Cash it's like hold and see where the ride takes you. I should have well defined muscles in my arms from walking (hanging on to) Cash. Or perhaps I should just put on some skates! Yes that would be a sight to see!

It is also funny a breakfast and tea time with the dogs. Yes we have to separate them as Cash devoures his food very swiftly and Gypsy takes her time and enjoys her meal. She is a real character or should I say a real girl. She seems to love laying in her bed, especially on a sunny morning and just has a little play with a toy. A bit like me laying in bed reading and not wanting to get out.

Anyway it seems that Gypsy has settled well into her "Claytons" family and we will enjoy the time she is spending with us. We hope Darren, his partner and his son are blessed with God's spirit in completing their mission they have set themselves and their organisation and come home safely to their parents, friends and Gypsy. Glod bless their journey! All our prayers are with them and their group of volunteers.

Scrapping With Soul Retreat

Back to the real world, especially after a relaxing weekend away at a Scrapbooking Retreat organised by the Scrapping with Soul Girls from Nowra.

I had a really nice time, just sitting there and pretty much not being to productive at all! Not surprising that is what I seem to do best at on these weekends away. Usually big intentions but it just doesn't happen! LOL.

The retreat was held at Waterslea Conference Centre, North Nowra on the banks of the Shoalhaven River. It's an absolutely beautiful spot to be at. Caught up with Maree and Jo, which was great as these ladies have been very busy with their wonderful talents that they have.

I thought at the start of the weekend I best do a couple of workshops that way I will actually take something home that has definately been finished during the weekend. So my wonderful friend Rowena held a workshop doing a family layout, did that (except for the photo) 1 down. Also did the workshop of a board book "Life's Journey" with Maree. Well to my surprise I actually had photo's that suited this book and so dar dar! One completely finished project!

So I decided I best stop there as I didn't want to wear myself out! LOL. Sunday Rowena, Maree, Jo and I went walking towards the river so Maree could give Ro and I some photography lessons. We all had to laugh as I didn't have the right shoes to be walking down the steep high and cow paddocks. Yes I only brought along slippers and heels. You guessed it I decided on wearing the heels. Farm girl from way back!

Learnt a few little things like the "Sunny 16" rule, batteries went flat on my camera, posed for a few experimental shots sitting on canoes that were all lined up so Ro could make me the centre of attention and the surroundings "blur" and with the sun behind me. I was made for modelling! LOL big time! Don't forget to make me beautiful Maree. (She will have her work cut out!).

Anway had a lovely weekend catching up with friends and making new friends. Am once again looking forward to next year's retreat but glad to be home in my bed.
